I'm 22 years old and live in the Greater Boston Area. I'm an embedded software engineer for The Mitre Corporation. In my spare time, I enjoy weightlifting, playing baseball, ice hockey, and working on cars. Some of my other passions include working with electronics, embedded systems, and writing software.

Embedded Software Engineer June 2018 - Present

Designed and developed high-throughput RF data recorder.
    Developed C++ application around the Ettus USRP platform.
    Implemented a modular and asynchronous architecture to enable versatility
        and achieve mission-critical performance.
    Tuned Linux system and PCIe peripherals to attain maximum data rates.
Developed automated platform to aid in the analysis and visualization of the accuracy
    and precision of various positioning and timing devices.


Embedded Software Engineering Internship May - August 2017

Integrated Bluetooth Low Energy into existing Lutron products.
    Implemented Network Coprocessor on Silicon Labs EFR32 SoC to handle BLE
        communication.
    Host application interfaced with Network Coprocessor using serial communication.
    Updated host application to handle new Bluetooth Low Energy features.
Presented work to company Vice President and General Manager.


Software Development Internship June - August 2016

Spent the summer of 2016 in Palo Alto, CA at Simple Emotion - A software company
    focused on emotion recognition in audio.
Implemented audio content detection system.
    Identified and classified silence, music, speech, and ringtones.
Prototyped algorithms in Matlab with final product implementations in C++.


Mobile Application Development

January 2013 – Present

Created series of applications to utilize various mobile application frameworks.
    Boxle – Tile based game with multiple game modes and difficulties.
    Alarm Clock application that requires a math problem to be solved in order to shut off.
    Remake of classic Snake game with innovative user interface.
Featured in RPI orientation sessions for incoming freshmen.



Projects

Quadrotor Helicopter

June 2017 - Present

Designed and created entire electronic control system from scratch.
9-DOF Inertial Measurement Unit (Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Magnetometer) used to
    calculate Roll, Pitch, and Yaw.
    I2C bus used to interface with sensors.
    Implemented kalman filters and sensor fusion to reduce noise in sensor data.
Control cycle operates at 100Hz on 8-bit Microchip PIC18F microcontroller.
Controlled quadcopter using XBOX 360 controller.
    Used Arduino to read USB output of XBOX 360 controller.
    Integrated 2.4GHz wirless link to communicate with quadcopter.
    Range up to 1.5 miles.

Three Axis CNC Routing Machine

January 2016

Developed C++ program to generate G-Code from 3D CAD files and transfer data to an
    8-bit microcontroller through a serial interface.
Microcontroller parsed data and controlled three stepper motors to move drill.
Designed and implemented mechanical assembly from raw material.
Completed in 11 days.



Digital Tachometer

July - August 2014

Integrated 8-bit microcontroller into PCM of 1999 Camaro to capture live data for
    calculating and displaying engine RPM and fuel level.
Displayed results with a 4 segment multiplexed LED array and an LED bar graph.



Autonomous GPS RC Car

July - August 2013

Used custom hardware on existing frame to add GPS and compass sensors.
Implemented automatic driving system using sensors to autonomously drive vehicle to
    given coordinates.
